This time around, we’re highlighting more than 60 flat-bar rigs that will be lined up for the grand depart tomorrow morning in Banff, Alberta, Canada. There’s certainly a shared sense of accomplishment among those who show up for the grand depart, and we’re excited to follow along each year.Ĭontinuing on from yesterday’s post, in which we shared more than 50 loaded drop-bar bikes planning to tackle this year’s Tour Divide, we’re thrilled to present the second part of our extensive roundup. Or maybe it’s because of the mix of racers, riders, and tourers all enjoying the 2,750-mile route in their own way. Maybe it’s because so many people participate, traveling from all over the world to ride the iconic route between Alberta and New Mexico. The short length in 34" waist fits my 5'-6", 175 lb frame just about perfectly, and these are now one of the first pieces I'll throw on before heading out. There’s something about the Tour Divide that brings the bikepacking community together. Overall very satisfied with this purchase. I'm looking forward to running these cross-country skiing, where alpine shells seem like overkill. Fit is generous enough to allow a baselayer for colder temps. The draw cords on the pant cuffs are a nice touch, and I'm finding these make a good casual pant for the office, in addition to making the walk to/from work more comfortable in all seasons.įabric is stretchy, but holds its shape after multiple machine washings. The fabric is highly breathable, but does a good job blocking wind, and reinforced seat and knees provide a little additional durability and warmth. The shorter length of the Arch Rock Pants (short) prevents this, without the high-water-ready look of some other short-cut pants. Fit and fabric feel are exceptional! I typically wear 34" waist pants, 32" inseam, but occasionally wear out the pants leg cuff from dragging on the ground a little. I've had these for a few weeks, and have worn on a few cooler hikes.
